ATLANTA FORECAST

Today: High: 87

Tonight: Low: 69

Tomorrow: High: 87

Things will do a turnaround after that overnight rain in metro Atlanta. Get ready for some drier weather Saturday.

“You’ll notice that drop in the humidity this afternoon,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

A cooling front moving in will leave only a slight chance of showers Saturday.

However, Monahan said the drier weather will get stickier and bring a 40 percent chance of rain Sunday.

Temperatures won’t change much. Saturday’s high is expected to hit 87, and ditto for Sunday and Monday, when the rain chance is also at 40 percent.

At midweek, the rain chances increase to 60 percent.

About 5:30 p.m., temps were 87 in Atlanta, 88 in Griffin and 82 in Dalton.
