Those of you making plans for Father’s Day on Sunday likely won’t have much problem with rain.

The chance of rain is at 30 percent, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan. And the high temperature should reach 87.

As for Saturday, “just an isolated shower or thunderstorm chance later this afternoon,” Monahan said. The high is expected to be 88, with a 20 percent chance of wet stuff.

About 4:45 p.m. Saturday, temps were at 89 in Atlanta, 90 in Griffin and 81 in Blairsville.

Wednesday, June 21, marks the first day of summer. High temperature should be 87, with a 30 percent chance of rain.
