With the No. 19 overall pick in Thursday night's 2017 NBA Draft, the Atlanta Hawks selected Wake Forest power forward John Collins.

Collins, a 6-foot-10 sophomore, averaged 19.2 points and 9.8 rebounds last season with the Demon Deacons.

“We’re very excited to add John to the Atlanta Hawks,” Hawks general manager and head of basketball operations Travis Schlenk said. “He’s a guy we had pegged higher up on the draft boards than the 19th spot. We love his athleticism, his ability to score, his rebounding, so we’re looking forward to getting him down here.”
