Can the Atlanta Falcons become back-to-back NFC South Champions?

USA Today’s Nate Davis thinks so.

In his 2017 NFL record projections, Davis predicted the Falcons go 12-4 and become NFC South Champions for the second year in a row.

“They may have the most loaded roster in the league and should get a boost opening their new stadium,” Davis wrote. “The big questions about the NFC champs are the dreaded Super Bowl hangover — and the Falcons went on an unprecedented bender — the loss of (offensive coordinator) Kyle Shanahan and a midseason stretch of four road games in five weeks that includes trips to New England and Seattle.”

Davis predicted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers go 10-6, the New Orleans Saints go 8-8 and the Carolina Panthers finish the season with a 7-9 record.

All 32 of Davis' NFL record projections can be found on USA Today's website.
