On any given day, Spelman students and alumni are exhibiting their school spirit. But every year on April 11, the ladies put their love on full display to celebrate the institution’s founders day.

Tuesday marks the college’s 136th anniversary, and the school observes the occasion with a host of festivities including a special convocation service and a cake-cutting ceremony.

But Spelmanites aren’t keeping all of the fun to themselves. Many hopped on social media to show their adoration, prompting #SpelmanFoundersDay to trend on Twitter.
