New gym, Atlanta Iron, opens in North Fulton

Just in time for your New Year’s resolutions, a new gym has opened in north Fulton County.

Atlanta Iron opened Thursday at 7855 Roswell Road NE in Sandy Springs. Memberships start at $60 per month.

The gym offers several classes, personal training and hours ranging from 6 a.m. to 9 :30 p.m.

On its Facebook page, the gym calls itself "a facility for people that want to become a better version of themselves or just love to work out."

It features several racks for free weights, bars for men and women, bands, bikes and an area for speed and agility training. The gym offers training and nutritional programs for all ages and levels, according to its Facebook page.

The owners and operators of the gym are André Walkine and Oliver Kraemer, a pair of metro Atlanta residents and graduates of Georgia Southern University, according to LinkedIn.

The gym's official grand opening is set for Jan. 13, and starting at 11 a.m. it will offer two free group class workouts. Anyone that signs up for a membership that day will receive 50 percent off for the next month.
