The square between Main Street, Railroad Avenue, Lula Street and First Avenue in Old Town Lilburn is under contract for a mixed-use development. Retail and restaurants will face Main Street, with about 50 townhomes slated for the remainder of the property.

Concept plans for the project have been prepared and submitted for preliminary review with the preferred plan providing parking along Main Street and interior to the site behind the commercial strip fronting Main Street. The Lilburn City Council voted Monday to abandon the 20-foot alleyways within the square and 25 feet of right of way on Lula Street. The abandonment was required before the contract closing, which is scheduled for October.
