Gwinnett County police are looking for a 17-year-old in connection with a May 9 carjacking.

Police have issued warrants for Christopher Bass’s arrest on three felony charges: hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a theft of a vehicle. Authorities don’t know where Bass may be, but there is a “strong possibility” he may still be armed, police said.

Police identified Bass as a suspect after receiving multiple tips from the public.

On May 9, a taxi driver was robbed and carjacked after driving a man to a Norcross apartment complex. The passenger demanded the driver hand over money; once the driver did so, the passenger forced him out of the car and drove away.

Anyone with information on Bass’s whereabouts is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
