A Hispanic bakery in Gwinnett County failed its second straight routine health inspection over the weekend, with several improperly stored foods among the reported violations.

Panaderia Salvadorena Elizabeth, located at 5050 Jimmy Carter Blvd. in Norcross, got a 63/U on the Sunday inspection.

According to the inspector's report, raw fish was found being stored above oranges and multiple unwashed fruits and vegetables were being kept above ready-to-eat foods. Raw chicken was also stored above raw beef.

Additional violations included an employee using "single-use gloves for more than one task" and another using an avocado that "still had part of the produce sticker on it." Employee drinks and food were also being "stored in the same container as customer food," officials said.

Health department records showed the restaurant also failed its previous routine inspection in June, getting a 52/U. It got an 86/B on the subsequent follow-up inspection.

A woman who answered the phone at Panaderia Salvadorena Elizabeth on Monday morning hung up when asked for comment.

A follow-up inspection will be completed within 10 days of Sunday's failing evaluation.
