Consider yourself warned, Dunwoody High School students. Local authorities are taking your “pranks” seriously.
Dunwoody police Lt. Fidel Espinoza posted a video to his department's Facebook page late Monday night, saying they'd received several calls about disorderly juveniles, reckless conduct and vandalism in the "residential area in and around Dunwoody High School." Department spokesman Officer Trey Nelson said "complaints of trash and toilet papering" trees and yards were received.
There was also a report of juveniles “armed with a handgun and rifle,” Nelson said, but no suspects were located when officers arrived.
Police believe the incidents were all connected to the school’s “junior-senior high school student prank tradition” — but they’re “not something that we take lightly,” Espinoza warned.
“I will try to make myself perfectly clear,” the lieutenant said in his video, “that these sort of incidents are not going to be tolerated.”
Espinoza asked residents to remain vigilant, parents to keep an eye on their kids and students to “go home before you get yourself in trouble.”
