A Milton man was arrested after he drove the wrong way through a liquor store drive-thru and crashed his car March 4, police say.

Security footage obtained by Channel 2 Action News appears to show a van at Top Shelf Liquors quickly pull out of the frame. The van reverses back into view with the bumper hanging off the front.

Lonnie Watkins initially told police a 15-year-old who was in the van with him was driving, Channel 2 reports. Police say 43-year-old Watkins’s drivers license had been suspended.

Store managers said they’d cut Watkins off from buying more alcohol before the incident.

Watkins was determined to be intoxicated and the teen ended up with relatives, police told the television station.
