Officers at DeKalb County police's South Precinct are hoping to help underprivileged kids in the area have a merry Christmas.

The precinct is taking gifts for children from age 4 to 13 in a toy drive to culminate on Dec. 22. The deadline to drop off gifts, which should be new and unwrapped, is Dec. 21, according to police.

The goal is to help 150 children.

Drop boxes are in the lobby of the precinct located at 2842 HF Shepherd Drive, Decatur. Gifts can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
