Gwinnett's Sugarloaf Mills mall is adding a heavyweight to its retail lineup.

The mall, located at 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville, announced Wednesday that it will soon welcome H&M, the trendy, affordable retailer with more than 4,000 stores worldwide. Officials expect the new store to open next spring.

The 20,000-square-foot H&M will be located near Sugarloaf Mills' current Neiman Marcus Last Call store.

"We strive to be a dynamic shopping, entertainment and dining destination for the local community and beyond," Alexa Schreck, the mall's director of marketing and business development, said in a news release. "Shoppers can rely on Sugarloaf Mills to continue bringing the latest from popular brands such as H&M for an overall exceptional shopping experience."

In addition to H&M's usual ladies', men's and accessories offerings, the Sugarloaf Mills store will also offer a children's collection.

The Sugarloaf Mills location will be H&M's ninth in metro Atlanta and second in Gwinnett. It also plans to open a store at the Mall at Stonecrest in DeKalb County.
