This year's award season had several standout moments. But perhaps one of the most memorable ones was the "Hidden Fences" flub when a few celebs mashed two films, "Hidden Figures" and "Fences," into one.

The first mix-up occurred while Jenna Bush Hager was interviewing Pharrell Williams, executive producer of "Hidden Fences," during the Golden Globes red carpet. The second happened while Michael Keaton was presenting the best supporting actress award during the same ceremony.

The hiccups inevitably went viral, causing a social media frenzy.

While both have since apologized for the mistake, the slip-up is still a topic of discussion for a couple of creatives who've producing a play entitled - you guessed it - "Hidden Fences."

Written by Jordan Temple, a writer on MTV’s “Decoded,” the show is a parody that focuses on “Fences” character Troy Maxon as he works to become the first black man to hit a baseball into outer space.

"It's presented in a way that black people are of the American lexicon and culture. Black culture is American culture. A lot of the references are from black movies, arts and culture," Temple told Complex.

The play debuted in February in New York and has added shows for April and August.

No word yet on if the production will have more showings, but keep your eyes on the official Facebook page for more information.
