Douglasville police are asking for help finding the suspect in a Sunday morning shooting outside a local Waffle House.

The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. at the diner at 6133 Fairburn Road. Douglasville police Capt. J.R. Davidson said there was a dispute between “two groups of people who had been together at a party … earlier in the night” before 25-year-old Lafayette Napolean Bradley pulled out a gun and shot Austell resident Paul Hampton.

Hampton was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital following the shooting but was expected to be released Sunday, Davidson said.

Police have issued warrants charging Bradley with aggravated assault. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Lt. Adam Cannon at 678-293-1711 or cannona@douglasvillega.gov.
