Rapper Rick Ross was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana charge Wednesday in Fayette County.

Ross, whose birth name is William Leonard Roberts II, was arrested after a deputy stopped his Bentley on Ga. 279 due to an alleged window tint violation, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Allen Stevens told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The officer smelled marijuana before finding five joints inside the car, Stevens said.

Ross, 39, was booked into the Fayette County jail Wednesday afternoon. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office released his mugshot just before 2 a.m. Thursday, but it was unclear if he had posted bond.

The founder of Maybach Music Group, Ross is perhaps best known for his 2006 single "Hustlin'." He was raised near Miami but purchased last year the Fayetteville mega-mansion that once belonged to boxing legend Evander Holyfield.

Wednesday’s run-in with Fayette deputies is at least Ross’s fourth marijuana-related arrest. He was arrested on pot charges in Miami in 2008, in Louisiana in 2011 and in North Carolina in 2013.
