Hurricane Matthew victims get free storage at U-Haul

Storm victims fleeing Hurricane Matthew can store their belongings for up to 30 days at U-Haul facilities in four states, according to a statement from the storage and transportation company.

So while you're looking for a place to put your family, you can also find a place to stash your furniture and photo albums.

“U-Haul is proud to be a support system in times of need,” said U-Haul of North Orlando president Tom Burns.

Twelve U-Haul Companies across four Southeastern states are preemptively offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents in the path of the storm.

The U-Haul Companies of Eastern Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, North Orlando, Coastal South Carolina, Southern Atlantic Coast, South Carolina, Western North Carolina, Raleigh and Charlotte have made 112 self-storage facilities across 59 cities available to provide assistance.
