Six Flags’ new coaster is a Dare Devil Dive

Dare Devil Dive is bringing a new degree of excitement to Six Flags Over Georgia.

The park’s 11th roller coaster takes riders up a 10-story-tall vertical lift hill. Then it pauses at the summit before plunging 95 feet down a beyond-vertical drop.

The ride officially opens to the public on Saturday, but season pass holders are able to go on it today.

“We wanted to provide our guests with a truly unique, thrilling experience here at Six Flags Over Georgia,” said park President Melinda Ashcraft.

The coaster continues through a tight series of swoops, turns and flips designed to simulate the sensation of a stunt pilot performing aerial acrobatics.

Instead of using a long train of cars, Dare Devil Dive has individual vehicles that hold six riders.

Stadium seating gives everyone a clear view of the track ahead.
