UPS announced it is adding a new feature to its My Choice service that allows customers to track the progress of certain deliveries on a live online map.

The new “Follow My Delivery” feature allows tracking of UPS Air and UPS Worldwide Express packages on a map while en route on the day of delivery. Customers expecting those types of deliveries who are UPS My Choice members will get an e-mail on the day their package is scheduled to arrive, with a link to view a live map. The package location information will update every 2 to 3 minutes, according to UPS.

UPS said it plans to add the feature to more services in the future.

My Choice is a service UPS launched in 2011 that is part of its mobile app and gives customers customized shipment notifications and allows them to re-route packages for a fee. There are now 22 million My Choice members, according to UPS.
