Coast Brewing Co.
This family-owned craft brewery in North Charleston operates on an old naval base. Nautical artwork and references abound in its line of brews. Blackbeerd, its imperial stout, has a pirate’s mug on the can. An India pale ale (Hop Art), a double India pale ale (Boy King), an American pale ale (Dead Arm), an American brown ale (Rye Knot) and a German-style ale (32/50 Kölsch) make up the rest of its 12-ounce roster. Another six seasonal beers pop in and out of rotation. Sample the wares Thursdays-Saturdays in its tasting room.
