ZipLine Hilton Head
Get a unique view of Hilton Head Island with a 2-hour canopy tour around Broad Creek. Participants take a quick tutorial, then take a ride on eight zip lines that gradually get longer, faster and higher, reaching heights of 75 feet. Take flight above the towering live oaks and pines with choice views of the water and marshes. Brave swaying bridges and an aerial staircase. The final zip allows two adventurers to race side-by-side on 900-foot-long lines. Other interactive attractions at Broad Creek Marina include the Aerial Adventure ropes course, parasailing, dolphin nature tours and deep sea fishing charters.

Congaree National Park
Hankering for a hike? More than 25 miles of trails and more than 2 miles of boardwalk can be walked at this park just outside Columbia. It serves as the home of the champions, a collection of gigantic, primeval old-growth trees. It holds the title of the tallest deciduous forest in the country. While exploring, you might cross paths with deer, river otter, sizable turtles and other denizens. Make a camping trip out of it, and enjoy canoeing or kayaking in nearby Cedar Creek.

Raven Cliff Falls
Get an eyeful of South Carolina’s tallest waterfall. The water comes from Matthews Creek and perpetually flows more than 400 feet down the face of the falls. Follow the trail in Caesars Head State Park for a 4.4-mile round-trip hike — it’s mostly level — that leads to a gazebo platform. This offers a view of the falls from a distance. Serious hikers can get closer by braving the more challenging 8.8-mile round-trip trek. It takes visitors to a suspension bridge with a view of the falls and creek below.
