Jimmy Buffett might have been onto something. There's just something about a margarita that makes life better.

What makes a margarita even better is drinking it somewhere that has beautiful beaches and palm trees. If you're headed to Florida anytime soon, here are a few of the best places in the state to score a margarita (and if you're lucky, good food and gorgeous ocean views).

Best margarita in Orlando

There are a million reasons why you might head to Orlando, and getting a killer margarita is another one. Cafe Tu Tu Tango isn't your average restaurant and they don't serve your average margarita. The theme here is eclectic and artsy. Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., there are two for one drink specials, and the margaritas are made with fresh ingredients and jalapeno-infused margaritaville tequila.

Best margaritas in Miami

Enjoying a margarita almost seems synonymous with traveling to Miami. The good news is there's no shortage of top-rated margarita spots in this bustling city.

Even if you can't afford to stay at the Ritz Carlton, you can still act the part by heading to Cantina Beach for the largest tequila collection in South Florida. With multiple margarita options to choose from, and all of them are made from top-shelf tequila and start at about $15 per drink.

For a different spin on the traditional tequila margarita, stop by Huahua's Taqueria on Miami Beach. The margaritas are frozen and infused with fresh fruit pureed with agave wine. Another perk is that the margaritas are among some of the cheapest on Miami Beach, starting at only $6 for a regular-sized margarita.

Best margaritas in the Florida Keys

If you take one look through Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews, you'll see one name reappear when it comes to amazing margaritas. Sundowners in Key Largo is the perfect place to kick back with a margarita and an incredible view. The glass-walled dining room and open-air deck give you the opportunity to take in the amazing beauty of Florida Bay while you drift off into the elusive margaritaville.

If you're a tequila snob, you'll want to stop into Agave 308 if you're anywhere near Key West. They claim to have the best margaritas "this side of Mexico," and none is made with bottle mix. If fresh-squeezed lime juice, agave nectar and 100 percent blue agave tequila sounds like your idea of a good time, you may have found your new favorite margarita spot.

Regardless of where you decide to stop for a margarita, be sure to find a nearby hotel to rest off that buzz before driving back home. Taking an extra day to be a beach bum is recommended, but completely optional.
