Nov 15, 2021

There are plenty of reasons why this year’s Thanksgiving might not include an at-home feast shared with family or friends. But for retail and service industry workers, those traveling away from loved ones during the holidays or even just for those who just don’t like to cook, a quality meal outside the home on Thanksgiving Day can be hard to come by.

No matter what’s got you looking for an alternative, these Atlanta area restaurants are open and ready to host you on Thanksgiving Day:

5Church Atlanta

Located in Midtown, taste 5Church Atlanta’s Thanksgiving buffet dinner of turkey, prime rib, salmon, cornbread and cranberry dressing, shrimp creole, salads, desserts, and more.

Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar

From 4-10 p.m. on Thanksgiving, enjoy smoked turkey breast, pork shoulder, green bean casserole, sweet potato biscuits and more at both the Virginia Highland and Smyrna locations.

Atlas at St. Regis

On Thanksgiving Day, dine with Atlas for a three-course meal featuring oyster Rockefeller, turkey with truffle mousse, pumpkin risotto and pumpkin pie for $145 per person. Each guest will also receive turkey, stuffing, gravy and bread to take home for a “leftovers” sandwich, recipe card included. For reservations, call 404-600-6471 or go online at OpenTable.

Bahama Breeze

Make it an island Thanksgiving with jerk-seasoned turkey, pumpkin praline cheesecake and refreshing drinks from noon to 8 p.m.

The Chastain

Enjoy a special Thanksgiving dinner at The Chastain, located on the edge of Chastain Park. Limited reservations are available and can be made on Resy.com or by calling the restaurant at 404-257-6416.

Cracker Barrel

On Thanksgiving Day, enjoy homestyle turkey or country-fried turkey plates alongside buttermilk pancakes from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Fogo de Chão

You’re in luck if you prefer steak over turkey on Thanksgiving. The Brazilian steakhouse will be open, but hours will vary depending on the location.

The Garden Room

Located in Buckhead, The Garden Room will be open Thanksgiving Day with a la carte options and a family-style turkey available to order for the table. For reservations, call 404-600-6471 or go online at OpenTable.

Hampton + Hudson

Have your holiday meal or gather for after-dinner drinks at Hampton + Hudson. The community bar and restaurant will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and offer a limited menu until 11 p.m., featuring burgers, wings, mac and cheese, and a Thanksgiving special that includes sliced turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, a roll and pumpkin pie cheesecake.
