Mariah the Scientist is slated to perform during the halftime show for the Atlanta Hawks, the team announced Friday. The R&B singer will take home court when the Hawks face off against the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 14 at State Farm Arena.

“I’m beyond excited to perform at halftime for the Atlanta Hawks and bring some love and energy to my hometown,” the singer said in a statement. “Music and sports have a unique way of uniting people, and I can’t wait to share this moment with the fans in the city that’s shaped me so much.”

The set will be the Atlanta native’s first time performing at a Hawks halftime show. Born Mariah Buckles, the 27-year-old R&B singer has built a loyal following since the release of her 2019 major-label debut “Master.” In 2023, she dropped “To Be Eaten Alive,” her third studio album, and performed at One MusicFest. She joined fellow Atlanta artist Latto for the rapper’s Sugar Honey Iced Tea Tour in 2024.

Mariah the Scientist follows Atlanta acts including DreTL, Keith Sweat and Gucci Mane as Hawks halftime performers.

Tickets for the game are available via Hawks.com/Tickets.
