Photos: Pricey stadium naming rights deals

More than half of teams in Major League Baseball, the NBA and the NFL play in facilities that carry a corporate name. Here are some of the most expensive naming rights in U.S. sports:

The Atlanta Falcons have reportedley reached a deal with Mercedes-Benz for the naming rights to their new stadium. The Falcons' $1.4 billion state-of the-art facility in downtown Atlanta opens for the 2017 season. The Falcons' deal is undisclosed. But here are some of the pricer naming rights in U.S. sports:

Mercedes-Benz already has the naming rights to the former Louisiana Superdome, under a $90 million, 10-year contract that began in 2011.

MetLife agreed to a $400 million deal over 25 years to name the Medowlands, N.J., stadium where the New York Giants and Jets play.

Reliant Energy will pay $320 million over 32 years to have their name on the stadium where the Houston Texans play.

AT&T Stadium, commonly referred to as "Jerry's World" after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, carries the multimedia company's name in a deal worth an average of $17 million to $19 million per year.

The Nets' home in Brooklyn carries the Barclays name thanks to a 20-year deal marked at $200 million.

Office supply chain Staples put its name on Los Angeles' multipurpose arena in 1999 at a cost of almost $120 million for at least 20 years. The deal calls for an additional undisclosed amount to keeps its name on the arena where the Lakers, Clippers and Kings all call home.

The New York Mets play at Citi Field under a deal signed with CitiGroup for $400 million naming rights.

In 1999, FedEx agreed to pay the Washington Redskins $205 million over 27 years for the rights to name the stadium in Landover, Md.
