Second-year tight end Austin Hooper was distraught after being stripped of a key pass in the red zone late in the Falcons’ 20-17 loss to the Dolphins Sunday.

With the Falcons down 20-17 and driving for a possible game-winning touchdown, quarterback Matt Ryan tossed a pass to Hooper that was on target.

Miami cornerback Cordrea Tankersley ripped the ball loose and safety Reshad Jones made the interception to secure the victory.

Hooper, who had seven catches for 48 yards, brushed off several requests to talk about the final play and at one point told the media that he “had to call his mom.”
