Berkeley Lake

Technically, Berkeley Lake is home to only one public park located adjacent to city hall. The city maintains the popular playground for the enjoyment of area children. There are also walking trails within the city green space near Ridge and North Berkeley Lake roads. More details here.

While not within city limits, Berkeley Lake residents are only minutes away from Pinkneyville Park's 93 acres. Amenities include a seven-field baseball/softball complex, playground, dog park, roller hockey rink, free-skate area, pond, 2.4 mile paved, multi-purpose trail, restrooms, grill and pavilions, including the 5,000 square foot Medlock Corporate Pavilion with catering kitchen. Braselton Park has a playground, picnic areas and tennis courts, but is best known for frequent events held there, from movies under the stars to festivals to water day. More details here.
Mulberry RiverWalk, 940 Liberty Church Road, 706-654-3915
The Mulberry RiverWalk is a 2.3-mile walk through nature without leaving town. Kids can encounter waterfalls, sandy picnic areas, marked specimen trees and bridges. The spot where all four of Braselton's counties (Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall and Jackson) come together is marked on the trail by a monument and small rest stop next to the river. More details here.

Bogan Park's 83 acres include an indoor aquatic center with competition and leisure pools, gymnasium, indoor badminton courts, outdoor basketball courts, dance studio, a baseball/softball complex, sand volleyball courts, pavilions, playground and two miles of trails. More details here.

Dacula Park is a favorite for families for baseball, softball, football, tennis, swimming in the outdoor pool or volleyball on the sand courts. The park includes 1.75 miles of paved walking trails and a pond. More details here.

Maple Creek Park is a 17-acre passive city park with playground, restrooms, picnic shelter and one-mile paved walking trail. Open sunrise to sunset daily.

Duluth
Shorty Howell Park, 2750 Pleasant Hill Road, 678-277-0900
This 67-acre park includes an activity building, seven lighted youth baseball/softball fields, restrooms, football/multi-purpose field with lighted walking track, pavilion, grill, playgrounds, a large community room with classroom, and 1.25-mile paved multi-purpose trail. Just west of Shorty Howell Park is W.P. Jones Park. The 20.68-acre park contains a small stream running east to west, dividing the park. Most of the park's attractions are in the stream's floodplain, so it may be soggy after big rains. The park includes two sets of tennis courts surrounding a restroom/storage building and community center. Kids will love the playground equipment, picnic shelter, trails and exploring nature near the stream. More details here.
Grayson

Grayson Community Park is a wonderful place for kids with several shaded play areas, a large pavilion and passive green space for epic Frisbee tossing, as well as lots of trees known to be home to numerous Nerf/water gun battles. This 713-acre park with two lakes, offers fishing, 3.4 miles of multi-purpose trails, a large playground and several large pavilions. Non-motorized and electric boats are allowed on the lake. Fun! This 95-acre park offers 1.5 miles of soft surface trails great for nature walks, seven baseball/softball fields, sand volleyball courts, playgrounds and a fishing lake. City Park is behind the Calvin Fitchett Municipal Complex at the corner of Main Street and Railroad Avenue. This 10-acre park includes a band shell, open field for picnics or Frisbee, pavilion, playground, tennis court and restrooms. The lighted walking/jogging path is a trailhead for Camp Creek Greenway. Norcross

Norcross has many parks, including Lillian Webb Park, home to the city's annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration among other big events. But across the railroad tracks is the lovely Thrasher Park with an amphitheater, pavilion, gazebo, picnic tables and play equipment. Open 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily. More details here.

Johnson-Dean Park is just off the corner of North Barton Street and Sunset Drive in a residential area. Kids can enjoy the nature trail and stream, while learning more about the trees and plants in the urban forest, home to 100-year old trees, as well as ferns, wild herbs and native flowers. Just between Snellville and Loganville is the Vines Mansion, gardens and the Vines Garden Railroad.
