The 55th annual AJC Peachtree Road Race is officially underway

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race is underway with the wave of wheelchair racers going down Peachtree Road.

Elite women will start shortly after, followed by elite men, seeded runners and wave A.

Start waves will begin advancing every 10 minutes after 7 a.m. Participants were encouraged to arrive by 6:30 a.m. to find their start wave.
