West End Craftsman reno does not show its century-old age

The 3,005-square-foot Craftsman bungalow in Atlanta's historic West End neighborhood has four bedrooms, two full baths and two half-baths. It was built in 1915.

Throughout the bungalow, African-American art is on display, including a painting of a woman by Atlantan Sam D. Burston.

Brenda Hubbard's sitting room contains a vibrant orange on the walls that matches the couch. The window lattices are her favorite architectural detail throughout the home.

The West End home has four original fireplaces, including in a guest bedroom. Hubbard said she included a portrait of Rosa Parks because she was her hero. "I love the fact that she was a woman, and she took a stand and she wasn't afraid,"she said. "She took that stand on her own. She was a powerful woman as far as I'm concerned."

African-American art is displayed throughout Brenda Hubbard's 1915 West End home, such as the "Gullah Images: The Art of Jonathan Green" coffee table book.
