It's the weekend before the Fourth of July, and while you wait for fireworks you can find plenty to do to keep your family entertained throughout Cobb County.

Here's just a sampling of the events lineup headed your way over the next few days. You'll find everything from musical performances to racing; just make sure to pack an umbrella with all the unpredictable weather.

Enjoy a patriotic concert, performances by the KSU Big Band and KSU Summer Orchestra, Family Fun Festival and fireworks at Kennesaw State University.

Race to the finish line with Rover this Saturday in the Fast and Furry 5K. Proceeds benefit the Cobb Animal Shelter.
