PHOTOS: Marietta restaurateur’s townhome exudes industrial, eclectic vibes

Brandon Hancock has antiquing on his calendar on the second Friday of every month. It’s a time for him and his mom to go to Scott Antique Markets to find vintage pieces for both of their homes.

The traditional brick townhome in Marietta was built in 2002 by Ashton Woods. The townhome has 2,472 square feet, four bedrooms, and three-and-a-half baths.

Industrial Chic Loft turned an old cart into a dining table, giving it a custom top. The table can fit between 12 and 15 people around it, said homeowner Brandon Hancock.

The collection of theater spotlights, which homeowner Brandon Hancock says are from a playhouse in Brooklyn, that shut down in the early 1940s, is a conversation starter. "Everyone mentions them," he said.

The kitchen has an island with quartz countertops, tile backsplash and stainless steel KitchenAid appliances. The home was built by Ashton Woods.

Addison Hancock's sitting space has a sofa and a coffee table from Industrial Chic Loft by Christopher Bailey over a cowhide rug.

An antique ledger rests on a desk in the Marietta living room. Homeowner Brandon Hancock said it holds the minutes from 1912 to 1918 for the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows.

Hancock's industrial, eclectic living room consists of a Bush Hog saw blade mirror from Scott Antique Markets and a pair of Indian horse statues from Kudzu Antiques in Decatur on the mantel. "I wanted something tall there - tall and colorful," Hancock said of the horses.

An old production crate for a movie company serves as the living room's coffee table, purchased from Scott Antique Markets. Hancock said he believes that the book is written in Swedish and filled with magazines from 1966.

The sitting room is a central gathering spot for Cobb County homeowner Brandon Hancock and his family and friends. A pair of steer horns hangs over a television, and an antique Belgian woodworking bench holds a vintage 1960s bingo machine, which still works.

A pair of star lights from Scott Antique Markets cast a stained glass-like effect in Brandon Hancock's daughter's bedroom. "They fit perfectly," he said. "At night they give off a really good shadow, which is really cool."

A wood upholstered bed, with its unusual headboard shape, is from Scott Antique Markets. A pair of nightstands by Industrial Chic Loft flank it with lights from Kudzu Antiques. The art piece above the bed is a painted mirror by Timothy Poe. The pair of leather chairs and auger lamp are from Scott Antique Markets.

Homeowner Brandon Hancock snagged the carpet after seeing it in front of the cash registers at Citizen Supply at Ponce City Market. It wasn't for sale, but he asked if he could buy it. A few days later, the store decided to sell it to him. "I don't mind asking people if things are for sale," he said.

The master bedroom closet has built-ins by the homeowner, while he believes the island is a vintage GE cart (it's from purchased from Varnish + Vine).

Black-and-white photographs by Atlantan Emily Hart line the stairwell. The mirror is composed of metal gas station numbers.

A teak sofa from Rocky Mountain Ski & Board offers a place to sit on the back porch. Like inside the home, Brandon Hancock has decorated with items from Scott Antique Markets, including the vintage Double Cola sign.

Brandon Hancock, a restaurateur, purchased the four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath townhome in 2015. The 2,472-square-foot home is decorated with antiques and vintage pieces from Scott Antique Markets and Paris on Ponce.
