Homeowner Andy McKeegan's pets are his 20 chickens that hang out in the coop and chicken run in his Kirkwood backyard. "I eat their eggs, but I do not eat them," McKeegan said. "They're lots of fun."

The chicken coop, made with beadboard on the exterior and a red door, matches the architecture and palette of the Craftsman bungalow.

A map of Atlanta neighborhoods, including the Kirkwood community, and a gavel, an antique store find, rest on the mantel of an original fireplace in Andy McKeegan's Craftsman home.

The wall between the kitchen and the dining room was removed, and the entire kitchen was renovated to include marble countertops, subway tile and a Samsung range.

Eggs from Andy McKeegan's 20 chickens are in wired baskets along the leathered Alba Vera marble countertops. The upgraded kitchen was part of the $100,000 in renovations to the 1922 home.

A pair of birch tree branches, a cow hide and chicken throw pillow are among the country chic decor.

Andy McKeegan's love for his chickens comes out of the coop and into the home with accessories like a chevron throw pillow on a leather and wooden chair with nailhead trim.

The living room is Andy McKeegan's favorite renovated space in his 1922 Kirkwood home. "I had the fireplace and chimney restructured to burn wood as well as restoring the casement windows and building in the bookcases," he said.

A bowl sink and pitcher top the chest of drawers-turned-sink stand in the guest bathroom.

A rustic chest of drawers was converted into a vanity with a bowl sink in a bathroom of the Kirkwood home. Beadboard travels around the space under blue walls.

Andy McKeegan's master bedroom has one of the three restored fireplaces in the renovated Craftsman home, which is on the Kirkwood Spring Fling Tour of Homes on May 19-20.
