First lady Melania Trump celebrated Read Across America Day on Thursday by reading to children at a New York City hospital.

Her book of choice: "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss, whose birthday marks the National Education Association's annual reading-awareness day.

According to a pool report, Trump read from a hardcover copy of the book to several children at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Trump said the children’s literary classic “is one of my favorite books.”

She engaged the children as she read, at one point reaching a part in the book that references “a slump.” She asked the children what they do when “you don’t feel good.” None of the children responded, and Trump then said, “You go places where you feel better,” the pool reported.

At the end of the book, Trump offered to leave it for the children to read. According to the pool, the first lady handed the book to a girl who raised her hand, then said, “I encourage you all to read a lot to get educated.”
