There's less than a week left before the kiddos head back to Cobb County schools, and shopping for colored pencils isn't going to get them tired enough to go to sleep on time.

That’s where Switzer Library comes in.

If you’re looking for something to keep children active as summer winds down, the library — 266 Roswell St. in Marietta — is hosting a Touch-A-Truck event on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Vehicles from Marietta's fire and police departments along with the city's power and water utilities and Cobb department of transportation will be at the library for kids to monkey around on.

Best of all: They get to push all those buttons and (hopefully) nothing happens.

And, to help you prepare for the upcoming academic onslaught, The AJC crafted a handy guide to the 2017-2018 Cobb County school year.
