There’ll be no cheating on Thanksgiving if you want to experience the view atop Kennesaw Mountain.

It's worth it. The park had 2,360,256 visits in 2016, making it the 44th-most-visited federal park that year.
In general, the park and its restrooms will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., but the visitors center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Boling said.
Think of this as a way to get a head start on that New Year’s resolution to lose a couple pounds.
