For a week earlier this month, 30 artists gathered at Zoo Atlanta and created works of art inspired by their surroundings.

Those pieces, which have been on display at the zoo, are soon to be available for purchase.

The Art Gone Wild Art Sale will be held this weekend, with 50 percent of proceeds going to the zoo's "mission of conservation, education and superior stewardship of species and their habitats," according to a news release.

Works by the artists include varying styles and forms, such as acrylic and sculpture. The artworks are located in the zoo's Conservation Action Resource Center.

There is no additional admission cost to view the gallery, which will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, at 800 Cherokee Avenue SE. The fourth-annual Art Gone Wild Paint-Out Week took place from June 5 through June 9.

And here's a bonus, if you go on Sunday/Father's Day and are (or know) a dad: fathers get in free with the purchase of any regularly-priced child or adult general admission ticket.

Maybe dad wants a painting of an ungulate?
