The first live touring production of the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" TV show is coming to Atlanta for one night this month.

The show, whose plot revolves around a man forced to sit through B movies with his robot companions, ran for a decade beginning in 1988. It returned this year as a Netflix Original Series following a Kickstarter campaign to bring it back.

Creator Joel Hodgson and the show's new host, played by Jonah Ray, will appear live on stage at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Cast members Hampton Yount and Rebecca Hanson will also participate live, with Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt appearing via remote video.

Two different and separate shows will be performed in Atlanta Aug. 12. The first one, involving 1962 horror film, “Eegah,” begins at 7 p.m. The second show, beginning at 10 p.m., will be an unannounced sci-fi thriller.

Tickets for the "Watch Out for Snakes!" tour ranged from $39 to $71 on Ticketmaster Wednesday.

Audience participation will be encouraged.
