For those who couldn't wait until spring for Chuy's to open in Cumberland, today is muy bueno.

The 6,500-square-foot Tex-Mex restaurant was set to open in Akers Mill Square in late spring, but a spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday that it will open in late February.

"We’re very excited to be a part of the Cumberland-area community," said Bryan Turner, owner of the soon-to-open Chuy’s at 2955 Cobb Parkway SE.

And what a community it's becoming. Cumberland has been exploding, along with the nearby development, named The Battery, that will accompany the new Atlanta Braves stadium, SunTrust Park.

If you plan on being a Chuy's Cumberland fanatic, you might want to follow the restaurant on Facebook.

The opening will make three Atlanta locations for the 34-year-old Austin chain. The first opened in Dunwoody in 2011 and the second opened in Kennesaw in 2013.

This location will be open seven days a week. Sundays through Thursdays, the hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
