Smyrna won't let some rain ruin its parade tonight.

The annual "Coming Home for the Holidays" event is still on Tuesday night even though Mother Nature picked today to break its record 42-day streak of no rain.

The city took to its Facebook page to relieve any worries.

The event will feature not only the parade, but choral performances and children's activities from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at city community center, 200 Village Green Circle SE.

And don't forget about Santa lighting a Christmas tree at 7 p.m.

According to Weather.com, there's a 10 percent chance of rain at that time.
