A Fulton County health inspector told the Landmark Diner in Buckhead to “clean every piece of equipment inside and outside” the facility at the 3652 Roswell Road, Atlanta, location.
The inspector said the coolers, door handles, shelving, fan covers and gaskets were all dirty. The floors also needed cleaning underneath and behind the equipment. And there were a lot of flies in the kitchen near the ice maker, and some of the pests were even in the dining room, according to the inspection report.
Landmark Diner failed the routine inspection with 52/U. The restaurant had previous scores of 84/B and 81/B.
In other code violations, several dented cans were found in different places in the kitchen. Damaged cans are not to be used, the inspector said.
Other opened canned goods with food inside were stored in coolers. Once opened, canned food should be transferred to another container, the inspector said.
Raw meat was stored improperly above vegetables in different coolers. Baked goods were stored on a dirty shelf.
Landmark Diner will be re-inspected.
