Cobb County residents will soon have another Sprouts Farmers Market to chose from, this one just across the county line in Woodstock.

The national natural and organic grocery chain will open its first Woodstock location June 28 at 1430 Towne Lake Parkway, about a mile and a half from the Cobb-Cherokee line.

The store's website says it will sell beer and wine and have an olive bar, sushi, a juice bar and a sandwich bar.

But on opening day, it will also have prizes and giveaways.

The first 200 shoppers in line when the ribbon is cut at 6:50 a.m. will get 20 percent off their initial purchase, the company said in a news release.

Shoppers in line will also get muffin and coffee samples. And every 15th shopper checking out will receive a coupon book. Don’t feel bad if you’re 14th or 16th because every customer will get a reusable bag.

There was a similar event when the store at 4101 Roswell Road in Marietta opened. Another location also recently opened in the Decatur Crossing Shopping Center.

If for some reason you’re busy or not awake at 6:50 on a Wednesday morning, there will be deals going on throughout the weekend.

The first 200 customers Saturday will receive a coupon booklet for five free deli items, and on Sunday every 15th customer will get a $5 off coupon for their next purchase of $15 or more.

The company also announced that a Sprouts foundation will donate $2,500 to The Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully (CHOICES) to celebrate the opening.
