If applewood-smoked bacon, Gouda cheese, guacamole, onion strings, chipotle-jalapeno sauce, beef, lettuce and tomato all on a brioche bun makes you salivate, there’s good news and bad news.

You can get that whole mess of goodness in Cobb, but you’ll have to wait until Feb. 6 when Burger 21 opens.

The restaurant, with its Tex-Mex Haystack burger described above, in Kennesaw Marketplace will be the company's first Cobb County outpost. The address is 1300 Ernest Barrett Parkway, Suite 310.

The Tampa-based burger chain has a local franchisee who plans to open a shops in Sandy Springs during the fall and one in Midtown a year later.

As fate would have it, there's a turkey burger on the chain's menu named "The Cobb" featuring blue cheese crumbles, applewood-smoked bacon, avocado-ranch dressing, lettuce, diced tomato on a whole wheat bun.

There are already metro Atlanta Burger 21 locations in Johns Creek, Buckhead and Buford at the Mall of Georgia. There was a location in Snellville, but it is listed as temporarily closed on the company's website.

And if you live in Cobb and really, really like burgers then you could apply to become the Kennesaw restaurant's front-of-house managerthe kitchen's culinary manger or the assistant general manager.
