Halloween Thursday could be a rainy night in metro Atlanta

It’s shaping up to be a rainy night for trick-or-treating in metro Atlanta, and that could mean lots of sad, little faces (and big faces, for that matter), on Halloween.

Fortunately, Atlanta is full of fun, indoor options for the spookiest night of the year. Here are some alternatives to a possibly soggy night of trick-or-treating:

A Spooktacular Night by the Georgia Aquarium 

Trick-or-treat in each gallery of the Georgia Aquarium. Families can also enjoy crafts, a photo station and other Halloween-inspired entertainment. Plus, with each paying adult admission, children under 12 who arrive in costume will receive free admission 4-8 p.m. Thursday. Starting at $26.95. Georgia Aquarium, 225 Baker St.

Containment Haunted House

This pop-up style haunted house features intense interactive scenes inside a state-of-the-art design. Trapped in between worlds, creatures wander the maze of shipping containers feeding off the frightened energy of passers-by. Paranoia Haunted House

Paranoia Haunted House offers two haunted attractions this year. For fearsome magic that will leave you shaking in your shoes, try Hexed with its mysterious magic lurking in the shadows. In Quarantine, you'll explore "Facility Q," an asylum that hides a dark secret. 8 p.m.-midnight, Halloween through Saturday; 8-11 p.m. Sunday. $20-$35 per person. 2075 Marietta Highway, Canton.

Netherworld Haunted House

Created and developed by film and TV professionals, Netherworld offers more than its renowned haunted attractions this year. Along with two of the scariest haunted houses featuring realistic special effects and live actors, visitors will also enjoy four escape games and the new Laser Adventure Battle Arena. 7-11 p.m. $20-$60 per person. 2076 W. The Atlanta Hawks and 2 Chainz

The Atlanta rapper and basketball team have paired for a $43 bundle that includes a ticket to the Halloween game between the Hawks and Miami Heat, a 2 Chainz T-shirt and admission to the Haunted Pink Trap House in Newnan. Last year, 2 Chainz opened the attraction at 320 Temple Ave. with 13 Stories, a Newnan haunted house nationally recognized as one of the scariest Halloween experiences in the country. Bundle buyers can pick up their T-shirt and voucher for the Haunted Pink Trap House at State Farm Arena on Thursday.
