Get out your ugliest sweaters, dog-lovers, because Perk-N-Pooch will host Ugly Sweater Event this Friday. A photo booth will capture the hilarity of the evening, and you and your dog might just win a prize in the ugliest sweater contest.

Help raise money for Team Maggie while having a blast with your canine companion this Saturday at the Splash and Dash Dog Wash taking place at Club K9. With a suggested donation of $25 per dog, you and your pup can enjoy dog washes, spa treatments, training demonstrations, a talent show, a raffle and silent auction.

Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting. 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. Free. Across from Alpharetta City Hall. 2 Park Plaza, Alpharetta. 678-297-6000. www.alpharetta.ga.us.

Start your holiday season off right with the Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting taking place this Saturday. Not only will you see Santa and Mrs. Claus, but visitors can enjoy a Christmas Farmers Market, roast marshmallows, play in the snow playground and more.
