The young girl who stole the show and got some serious respect at her dance recital said in her first interview that she thought her routine was "spicy."

Johanna Colon, who is just 6-years old, wowed the crowd with her over-the-top performance to Aretha Franklin's "Respect." She received raucous cheers and the only standing ovation of the night, according to 6abc.com.

Johanna's mother, Elissa Colon, posted the YouTube video on Monday, and it went crazy on social media, getting more than 20 million views so far. Johanna is the dancer in the middle.

In an interview with WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina, Johanna says she has been dancing since she was 2, and she's a big fan of Franklin.

But don't think for a second she copied those moves from the Queen of Soul. Johanna said she received some coaching from her mom, but never watched a video of Franklin's performance.

"She just took it and ran with it and made it her own," said Johanna's dance teacher, Heather Fitts, "which was really cool."

Fitts said the young dancer is one-of-a-kind, but more importantly, she's just a good kid.

"She's also caring and considerate with the other kids in her class."
