The sun is out and metro Atlantans are enjoying it by going for a hike or stroll in their favorite parks.

Sandy Springs residents are no exception, and they’ve cast their votes for the best park the North Fulton city has to offer.

The newest Best of Sandy Springs poll results are in and here’s how the voting went.

In sixth place with 2% of votes came Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park. Marsh Creek Rain Garden Park followed in fifth place. It garnered 6% of votes. Fourth place went to Abernathy Greenway, which received 8% of votes.

Now, for the top three.

Third place went to Big Trees Forest Preserve, a 30-acre nature preserve that is a tree and wildlife sanctuary. It garnered 11% of votes. An increase in votes came for second place Morgan Falls Overlook Park. The family friendly park, which features playgrounds and walking trails and picturesque views of the river, received 30% of votes.

So which park earned the title of the best one in Sandy Springs?

The winner is Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, which got a whopping 42% of the votes. Guests who visit the park can have a picnic or go on a sunny stroll with 48 miles of river alongside them.
