As a prelude to the AJC Dunwoody Wine Fest, The Atlanta Wine School will continue its Discover! Cultural Series with Discover Spain!, an experience of nearly 100 wines and gourmet cuisine from the historical and cultural diversity that is Spain on October 9th, at Vino Venue in Dunwoody.
Wine tasting from all of the key regions of Spain will be accompanied by samplings of Spanish cuisine—tapas & pintxos, cheeses, jamon, paella, ropa vieja, empanadas, flan and more--all from 7pm - 10pm. From important wines like Rioja, Priorato, Cava, and Sherry, to growing interests such as the Ribera del Duero, Jumilla, Toro, and Bierzo, the event will provide nearly a hundred wines for participants to experience. Even better, most wines will be available for purchase during the event.
“The connection between wine and food is strong in most parts of the world, but never so true in Spain where they are rarely thought of independently,” according to Michael Bryan, Founder of the Atlanta Wine School and the Vino Venue Managing Partner. “No event in Atlanta brings together so much Spanish wine and food into a single tasting experience as Discover Spain" Bryan added.
The event is open to the general public. Tickets cost $45 in advance and $55 at the door. Group rates (beginning at 20 tickets) are available by special arrangement.
