You don’t have to be down about getting older.

A new play, “51 Shades of Gray: The Lighter Side of Aging” or “What’s so funny about getting old”, will be performed at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Martin Luther King Sr. Community Resource Complex Banquet Hall, 101 Jackson St. N.W.

The play is presented by the April Birthmonth Club of Ebenezer Baptist Church and performed by the Darnell Players, a community-based performing arts organization associated with the Harriet G. Darnell Multipurpose Facility.

The updated version of the show will tackle issues like memory, health and love.

Admission is $20.

Part of the proceeds will benefit Ebenezer’s scholarship fund. For tickets, email: AprilBirthmonthClub@yahoo.com or call 404-688-7300, ext. 0.
