Silica gel bags may seem like a nuisance and you probably throw them out immediately after buying something new, but they’re not completely useless.
In fact, according to Business Insider, the non-toxic gels include silicon dioxide, which dries out anything around them.
You can use them to your advantage by placing some in your gym bag or you can save your phone from water damage by placing your wet phone in a jar of silica gel bags.
But it’s still recommended to keep them away from children.
