Jake Reuse was on Twitter when he got the news that Prince was dead.
Impossible, thought Reuse, 29, a reporter for UGASports.com.
“I couldn’t wrap my head around it,” said Reuse, who posted a video on his Twitter feed of Prince at his last Atlanta show, playing the iconic “Purple Rain.”
“We weren’t supposed to use phones at Prince in ATL last week, but I couldn’t resist. Last performance of Purple Rain,” Reuse posted.

The prolific singer, musician, songwriter and producer, died Thursday at Paisley Park, his Minnesota home.
He was 57.
It was Reuse’s first time seeing the groundbreaking performer, although he has long been a fan. He went to the show with his stepmother, Julie Reuse; and his girlfriend, Ruby Chandler.
“It was incredible,” said Reuse. “He put on one hell of a show. He was running around the stage. He was cracking jokes. It was an electrical performance and certainly not a performance you would expect from anyone feeling poorly or anyone even being close to his situation.”
How can a guy put on a show like that one week and be dead so soon after, Reuse still asks himself.
Reuse later wrote on social media that he meant no offense to Prince “or his estate by posting these videos. I hope they allow people to relive it one more time. Honored I saw him.”
